Here at FBA Journey, I normally offer advice about selling with Amazon FBA. In this post, however, I’m going to talk about my own journey for a bit, and specifically the major milestone I’m about to achieve.
At the beginning of 2019, I made some projections based on 2018 sales, and I estimated that I could achieve, or maybe even surpass, $1,000,000 in sales for 2019. I knew a lot had to go right for me to achieve this, so I tried not to get my hopes up too high for most of the year. At this point in November, however, I can say for sure that I’ll reach, and even exceed, $1,000,000 in sales.
The screenshot below shows my total sales of the year so far. With 35 days left in the year, and the busiest month (December) still to come, I’m confident I’ll get to $1,000,000 in sales for 2019.
It’s hard to overstate how huge of an accomplishment this is for me. I’ve spoken previously about how I’m a one-person operation, and that I’ve been selling on Amazon since 2015. That makes this a big deal, because it shows what one person can achieve selling by themselves. It also shows how someone can, with commitment, focus, and drive, build a thriving business in a few short years.
I never set out to be an online entrepreneur, so achieving the $1,000,000 sales mark is so far past what my “wildest dreams” were for selling with Amazon FBA, that actually reaching this level of sales seems a bit surreal.
In 2020, I will continue to build my Amazon FBA business, and I will likely sell more in 2020 than 2019. However, I think it’s important to pause every once in a while and reflect on how far I’ve come since 2015. In reflecting on, and sharing, this milestone with everyone, my purpose is to provide some inspiration to start your own Amazon FBA journey.
My most important advice to anyone reading this, in thinking about my Amazon journey over the past five years, is:
The only regret I have in selling with Amazon FBA is that I wished I had started sooner!
If you’re on the fence about trying FBA out for yourself, I think you should go for it, because if you give it an honest effort, you could be making one of the best decisions of your life. I know for certain it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Happy holidays everyone!
