As of today, July 1st, 2021, Amazon now collects sales taxes for sellers in all states (where necessary) except for one: Missouri.
I last talked about the list of states Amazon collects sales tax for in February, and with Amazon’s recent announcement adding Florida and Kansas to the list of states they collect for, I’m updating my list of states showing where Amazon does and doesn’t collect sales tax.
Which States Does Amazon Not Collect Sales Tax?
With the addition of Florida and Kansas, there is just 1 state where sales tax collection is not done by Amazon:
- Missouri
There are 4 states that don’t have sales tax:
- Delaware
- Montana
- New Hampshire
- Oregon
